Holiday Hearts

I really wanted to like this one, but sometimes the female leads are insufferable.  Peyton ended ruining this one for me, though I like the last 30 minutes.

(PS - in the movie this dress is black)

This is the story of Peyton (Ashley Williams), an accountant who wants to be the event planner for her parents' inn and they just kind of let her take the lead on their most important party - on Christmas Eve, naturally. As an accountant, Peyton has no event planning experience, or, as it turns out, ideas. Instead of focusing on the task at hand, she finds herself co-babysitting her friend's daughter while her dad is in the hospital. Peyton shares her babysitting duties with Ben (Paul Campbell), a bah-humbug kind of doctor who never really experienced Christmas and is ready to set out on a new job abroad.

Peyton ends up failing up in the end, and you know what happens with her and Paul...

I have a newfound love of Paul Campbell since this summer's The Last Bridesmaid

Ah, the traditional father-son Christmas handshake. So warm. So personal. So loving.

How tall is Paul Campbell? Look how tall he looks next to that Jeep!

Peyton's passive-aggressiveness made me snort:
"It looked like he was running away from something..."
  "Like what?"
"Like a girl reindeer who was trying to tell him she had feelings for him."
  "What?"
  "What? Nothing."

That is a FESTIVE! hospital!

That escalated quickly to candlelight drinks by the fireside.

I want to live on that porch.

Ben's a little selfish. Let Peyton go to work.

Anyone else think Peyton doesn't even have a theme?

What the Hallmark!? Better get on it, P.  Ok, wow. She's an accountant. Who wants to be an event planner. Who doesn't have any ideas for her first party? In 5 days. For her parent's business, that they're counting on. Maybe she should stay an accountant?
This is ridiculous. Hasn't she ever heard of Pinterest???
Off the top of my head: old fashioned Christmas, White Christmas, European Christmas,
winter forest, snow globe, Candyland, Nutcracker, Santa's workshop, winter carnival...

So.. now her sister is taking over?

Don't buy her the dress, it's weird.

Peyton looks beautiful. Ben picked out a good dress.

You can NEVER have too many Christmas trees! Beautiful!

What about Peyton makes you think she'd want to move to Honduras? Out of nowhere too.

That's a rad homemade snow globe.
