So cute, I loved it!
Averie (Chaley Rose) runs the Blue Spruce Inn with her BFF, a very pregnant Susie. The Inn is obviously in the cutest little town imaginable and everyone is getting psyched for the annual Yuletide Festival - each year a different local business is elected to host the festival and it's a big honor. This year's festival was set to be at Phillips Farm, but a pipe burst has it moved last minute to the runner-up, Blue Spruce Inn. Averie and Susie are stoked for the opportunity and set into planning mode, along with Susie's husband and handyman, Marshall, immediately. They also have a critic (Teryl Rothery) who awards the Best Winter Lodge underfoot and in the way.
Averie gets a huge surprise when one of her new guests turns out to be Jesse (Rome Flynn), her former bandmate. Averie and Jesse have a huge Christmas hit under the belts, but Averie left the music business, preferring to put down some roots (like a Blue Spruce, get it?) in Vermont while Jesse tries to make it as a solo artist. He and his manager are checked into the Inn for one night while playing locally but get snowed in, which works out well because Averie could use the extra hands to prepare for the Festival.
Luckily, Jesse sticks around even after the roads reopen, because the town's choir all come down with a cold. Jesse agrees to take their place as the festival headliner, but only if Averie joins him.
On the day of the Festival, Susie goes into early labor and Jesse learns he got a coveted opening spot on a national tour, starting that very night. I like how the manager tells Jesse to pass on the show in favor of staying and helping Averie, but Averie is having none of that and tells Jesse to go.

We all know that Jesse is going nowhere and the two reunite onstage for the festival and while the Inn doesn't win the original award they were nominated for, they do win the inaugural Best Home Away from Home award.

Averie's parents are adorable.
Marshall made his baby a mobile and had Jesse record the song for it since Susie's a superfan. Squee!
